:hire is seeking an experienced Assembly Technician for a global supplier of automobile seats and interiors in Reynoldsburg, OH. This is an excellent direct hire opportunity!

Position Summary:

Performs appropriate online inspections to ensure product quality with customer view in mind. Support offline process auditing & product evaluations and sorting.

Essential Functions:

Company works with everything to do with an airport runway. They assemble lighting harnesses, manufacture the cones that they use, the signs, all the different things needed for an airport runway.

  • Inspect or test wiring installations, assemblies, or circuits for resistance factors or for operation and record results.
  • Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, or bolts.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Clean parts, using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths.
  • Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.
  • Mark and tag components so that stock inventory can be tracked and identified.
  • Position, align, or adjust work pieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.
  • Pack finished assemblies for shipment and prepare them for transport to storage areas.
  • Confer with Cell Leads or engineers to plan, review work activities or to resolve production problems.
  • Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.
  • Fabricate or form parts or structures according to specifications, using drills, calipers, cutters, or saws.
  • Drill or tap holes in specified equipment locations to mount control units or to provide openings for elements, wiring, or instruments.
  • Paint structures as specified, using paint sprayers as needed/required (select personnel only).
  • Distribute materials, supplies, or subassemblies to work areas.

Position Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum two years prior supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision

Physical Requirements:

  • Environmental conditions –Open office environment and warehouse environment. May be exposed to moderate noise levels.
  • Vocal Communication—Must be able to give concise directions and exchange ideas in a dynamic, often noisy work environment.
  • Hearing Perception—Ability to recognize information at normal spoken levels and/or ability to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or make fine distinctions in sound.
  • Sensory Utilization—Prepare and analyze written or computer data.
  • Physical Activities—Required to stand, walk and sit. May occasionally reach with hands and arms. May be required to lift to 50 lbs unassisted.
